A delegation from the Republic of South Sudan led by UN Women, embarking on a learning and experience-sharing mission as part of their visit, visited, the capitol building where they met with some members of the Liberian female legislative caucus on Tuesday March 26, 2024.

A leader with a changeNyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, born on July 2, 1968, is a prominent Liberian politician. Currently serving her second term as Senator of Grand Bassa County at the Liberian Legislature, she is also the political leader of The Liberty Party, the second-largest opposition party in Liberia.

Nyonblee is recognized as the first woman in the history of Grand Bassa County to be elected as Senator. With an extensive background in business, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from the University of Liberia in 1998. Additionally, she holds a post-graduate degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, USA.
