About Senator Nyonblee
Karnga-Lawrence
Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, born on July 2, 1968, is a prominent Liberian politician. Currently serving her second term as Senator of Grand Bassa County at the Liberian Legislature, she is also the political leader of The Liberty Party, the second-largest opposition party in Liberia. Nyonblee is recognized as the first woman in the history of Grand Bassa County to be elected as Senator. With an extensive background in business, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from the University of Liberia in 1998. Additionally, she holds a post-graduate degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, USA.

As a businesswoman, Nyonblee established the organization "Today’s Productive Women" in 1999, aimed at mentoring young women. Her commitment to public service led her to political involvement, and she played a crucial role in the first democratic elections of Liberia in 2006. Nyonblee's dedication to her community is evident in her various leadership roles, including chairing the Grand Bassa Legislative Caucus and presently chairing the women’s Legislative Caucus of Liberia.
